The gas-assisted injection molding system is an innovation in traditional injection molding technology, and some even call it a second revolution in injection molding technology.
1. What is a gas-assisted injection molding system?
Gas-assisted injection molding system, this advanced system and technology, inert gas (usually nitrogen) is injected directly into the plasticized plastic wrap in the mold cavity through a segmented pressure control system, so that the inside of the plastic part expands and causes a hollow, but still maintains the shape of the product surface intact.

2. Compared with the traditional injection molding process, the application of gas-assisted injection molding technology has the following advantages:
1) Save plastic raw materials, the saving rate can be as high as 50%.
2) Shorten the product production cycle time.
3) Reduce the clamping pressure of the injection molding machine, which can be up to 60%.
4) Improve the working life of the injection molding machine.
5) Reduce the pressure in the mold cavity, so that the loss of the mold is reduced and the working life of the mold is improved.
6) For some plastic products, the mold can be made of aluminum metal material.
7) Reduce the internal stress of the product.
8) Solve and eliminate the problem of shrinkage marks on the surface of the product.
9) Simplify the cumbersome design of the product.
10) Reduce the power consumption of the injection molding machine.
11) Reduce the investment cost of injection molding machine and development mold.
12) Reduce production costs.

3. Application field
Gas-assisted injection molding technology can be applied to a variety of plastic products, such as TV or audio shells, automotive plastic products, furniture, bathrooms, cabinets, household appliances and daily necessities, various types of plastic boxes and toys, etc.
Gas-assisted injection molding technology must be widely used in the injection molding industry.
1) Basically all thermoplastics (reinforced or unreinforced) used for injection molding, and general engineering plastics (such as PPS, PAI, PES) are suitable for gas-assisted injection molding.
2) Basically, the gas-assisted injection molding system can be used with different brands of injection molding machines around the world, as long as these injection molding machines are equipped with:
a Slingshot nozzle to prevent high-pressure gas from escaping into the screw of the injection molding machine.
b The screw stroke of the injection molding machine is equipped with an electronic ruler travel switch to trigger the signal feed auxiliary main system, so as to inject high-pressure nitrogen into the mold cavity.
1. Application examples of gas-assisted products
Gas-assisted technology can be used in almost all plastic products such as home appliances, automobiles, furniture, daily necessities, office supplies, etc.
1) Stick products: such as handles, hangers, chair supports, etc
The hollow structure can save about 20%-40% of the resin material without affecting the function and performance of the product.
☆ Rigidity and strength are improved, and the bearing capacity is strengthened.
☆ It can eliminate the sink marks on the thick wall of the product and improve the surface quality of the product.
☆ Accelerate the cooling rate of products and shorten the molding cycle.
☆ The required injection pressure and clamping force are small, which can greatly reduce the requirements for the injection molding machine and prolong the service life of the mold.
